NORTH LITTLE ROCK Ark. (KTHV)- The first school bell rings bright and early tomorrow morning for many students, and that means, most teachers are busy getting ready for those students. Teachers have spent most of the summer getting ready for that Monday morning bell.

These 25 chairs won't be empty much longer. School starts Monday morning and that means Brandy Yeoman has a few things to do, like sort these parent Packets "It's important for parents to get these signed and back to us." She also has to add the final touches to her classroom, "As a teacher, when our school year ends another one begins."

Yeoman has been teaching for five years, and the first day of school is one of her favorites. "We have to prepare ourselves for each and every child that we meet. We want to know where they are and how to meet their needs before they enter our classroom." With that goal in mind, Yeoman spent Sunday afternoon reading over student files. "A teachers work is never done."

Teacher's aren't the only ones getting ready for school, North Little Rock transportation director, John Haynie says maintenance workers he been preparing the buses all summer long for tomorrow morning. "The drivers came out and inspected their busses, ran their routes and they also reported any issues." Haynie also says drivers need to be extra cautious. In all Haynie says they will be running 88 busses Monday morning and they plan to pick up about 5 thousand students.

If you have questions about your student's bus route you can call their dispatch line; that number 501-340-5151.
