LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - When it comes to landscapes, you have to make changes every so often. Chris used to have twenty Cypress trees that were thirty feet tall, then suddenly we had a big snow storm and with that, they fell over and had to be cut down.

While some might look at that as a problem, Chris looked at it as a great opportunity. Now he has a whole new landscape and plenty of room for new things to grow.

First, Chris outlined the flower bed with a whole row of what is called Green Giant Arbovitae and this is going to create a living green wall. It stops your eye and brings you back down into the landscape.

Then, he did an assortment of Knock Out Roses, which flow with the same semi-circle design, and don't forget about your Wax Leaf Begonias which are pink and red and thrive in the Arkansas heat.

Finally, Chris created a nice pathway with pea gravel outlined by cut rock to help give us a sense of direction. The middle part was landscaped with White Euphorbia which gives a nice softness all summer long.

You add it all together and now you have a whole new corner of the yard that's not only beautiful but also very functional.
