Three people shot in Stuttgart store robbery

Stuttgart, AR (KTHV)-Special Agents of the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division are assisting Stuttgart Police in the investigation of a robbery which left one person dead, and two wounded.  The peson who died was one of the robbery suspects. 

Just before 10pm Friday night Stuttgart police were dispatched to a robbery call at the A-Z Food Mart at 720 North Main Street.

Witnesses say two teenagers, at least one armed with a handgun, entered the store and fired several shots into the ceiling and demanded money.

One of the clerks identified as Juan Jose Hundorus was wounded when he was approached by a suspect who reportedly shot Hundorus as the suspect made another demand for money.

A second clerk was able to wrestle a gun from one suspect who was subsequently shot and wounded by the clerk. The same clerk then used the gun to shoot the second suspect.

Hondorus and the two suspects were transported to a Little Rock hospital.

The names of the teenagers are being withheld while agents consult with the prosecutors regarding charges which at this time have not been filed.
