LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Arkansans are bracing for the effects of Hurricane Isaac and one of the biggest concerns is power outages due to high winds and heavy rains.

That's why Entergy Arkansas is making sure they are ready to get your power back on as soon as they can.

Some Entergy crews will be moving within the state from undamaged areas to areas with widespread outages. They will remain in Arkansas until all outages within the state are repaired. Then officials will evaluate whether to send some crews to sister operating companies to the south with much heavier damage.

There are some things you can do inside and outside your home to prepare for the storm. Entergy recommends everything from stocking up on nonperishable food, medicine, baby supplies, and pet food to bringing loose, lightweight objects, such as lawn furniture, inside.

For a live-time view of customer outage numbers, please see the View Outage section on Entergy's website. You can also "like" them on Facebook to see periodic updates, follow them on Twitter@entergyark and text "REG" to 368374 for text alerts.

For instant weather information, make sure to download the THV Weather App on your smart phone.

THV also has a special section dedicated to tracking Tropical Storm Isaac on our website. It has an interactive radar of the storm and all the latest pictures, videos and stories.
