LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (August 30, 2012) - Barber Law Firm has kicked off the third year of its Century Fund Campaign and after receiving numerous nominations, they have named their three finalists.
The Committee selected, in no particular order, the following 3 finalists from a total of 48 applications (more than twice as many as last year):
Arkansas Repertory Theater
Baptist Health Foundation
Museum of Discovery
The final selection will be based on grassroots support and a community vote. You can vote for your favorite by clicking here. Voting closes midnight on September 23.
The Century Fund is a major endowment designed to give back to the communities Barber Law Firm serves.
Qualifying 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that are either based in Arkansas or make a significant impact in the lives of Arkansans were eligible for consideration for the Barber Law Firm Century Fund's 2012 contribution and partnership.
The Barber Law Firm Century Fund will produce approximately $8 million in charitable contributions over the next century. The Barber Law Firm has committed to make an annual contribution to the fund. Each year, the fund will distribute a portion of its annual earnings to designated charitable partners. As the firm continues adding to the principal, it expects the fund to grow steadily, generating greater and greater impact each year.
The Century Fund made an inaugural donation to the Arkansas Children's Hospital Diabetes Research Working Group in 2010 and supported Centers For Youth & Families in 2011.
