LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Police in Little Rock are investigating two shootings that occured overnight Wednesday.
Police got a call about a man lying in an alley between State and Izard and 31st street that had been shot. When police talked to him, he said he was at his girlfriend's house on S. Gaines Street and found another man in the house.
The victim tells police that he and his girlfriend started to argue, then suddenly the other man in the house opened the front door and began shooting. The victim says he started running and felt a sharp pain in his backside. He says he didn't know who the man was. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police talked to the victim's girlfriend who said she didn't know the suspect's name, just that he goes by "black and amp." This shooting is still under investigation.
The second shooting also injured one man.
Police talked to the victim at a local hospital. He told police he was on Queensboro visiting a friend. While sitting out front, he said the suspect drove up in a vehicle, got out, and walked towards him and other people sitting outside.
The victim said the suspect started "talking crazy to everyone" then pulled out a gun and shot him once in the upper leg. The victim says the suspect then shot three more times and then fled in the vehicle he came in.
The victim's injuries are not life threatening. Police are still searching for clues.
