ONIA, Ark. (KTHV) -- There's a happy ending to a two-day search for a missing toddler.

Three-year-old Landen Cade Trammell is safe and sound with his family. Authorities found him Wednesday afternoon playing in some muddy water about three miles from his home in the town of Onia.

Today's THV heard from community members that while the boy is okay, his parents took him to Stone County Medical Center for evaluation. We've heard some talk he may stay overnight, wrapping up a two-day search the way everyone hoped and prayed for.  

By air and ground on Wednesday, more than 300 volunteers spent the day in Stone County searching for 3-year-old Landen. Some were fighting back tears, but by day's end, they turned to tears of joy.

"It was tremendously well-organized. It went off without a hitch and that is how you find people," said State Senator Missy Irvin of Mountain View.

State Senator Missy Irvin was part of a press conference late Wednesday afternoon that also included the man who found Landen.

"He was actually on the edge of a stock pond, just right off the bank in fairly shallow water, a couple inches of water, just enough where he could get couple handfuls of mud to play with," Bradley Taylor said.

Taylor, with the U.S. Forest Service, said despite a few scratches and bruises, Landen seemed unfazed by all the attention.

"His first words to me, I asked him what he was doing and he said 'I'm playing,' he was actually sitting in the water and looked like he was building pies," recalled Taylor.

It wasn't a big deal for Landen, but it certainly was for those searching for him since Tuesday morning. Taylor described the moment the boy reunited with his mother.

"Words really can't explain the emotions that I felt, I felt like shedding a tear myself. I was so happy just to see him alright and I know that she was," Taylor said.

Taylor added he had a bag of Cheetoes and Landen was definitely happy to see that.     

Multiple agencies worked this two-day search, including both the U.S. and Arkansas Forest Service. Also helping out in the search were the Arkansas Department of Emergency management, the Stone County Sheriff's Department and dozens of volunteers.

Landen Cade Trammell was first reported missing around 8 a.m. Tuesday at his home in Onia, which is about 11 to 15 miles from Mountain View.

Authorities tell Today's THV that Trammell's grandfather was watching him and thought the boy was asleep on the couch. Then, an hour later he wasn't there.

No foul play was ever suspected in Trammell's disappearance.
