WARREN, Ark. (KTHV) -- Special agents with the Arkansas State Police are investigating a Thursday shooting involving officers of the Warren Police Department.

Around 7:30 pm, Warren officers went into Abraham's Shop, where Davdrin Goffin, 29, was believed to be located.

Goffin was wanted by police in connection with an August 29 aggravated robbery. Goffin had also been identified as a suspect in the theft of two guns earlier Thursday afternoon.

According to a report, the Warren officers witnessed Goffin outside the shop and approached him. While attempting to handcuff Goffin, the suspect broke free and was shot by one of the officers.

Goffin was transported to a local hospital before being moved to a Pine Bluff hospital later the same evening.

An investigation of the shooting incident is continuing today and will be submitted for review to the office of the Tenth Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney.
