SPRINGDALE, Ark. (KFSM) A Springdale man who police say was run over and assaulted by a woman Saturday remains hospitalized.
John Chamberlain, 31, was in good condition Sunday at Washington Regional Medical Center.
Jessica Mars, 29, of Fayetteville was arrested after police said she used her vehicle to run over Chamberlin, and to strike a woman standing nearby.
That victim, Minda Totten, 34, of Farmington was not hurt, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
The disturbance happened about 3 p.m. Saturday outside a home at 23994 Highway 303 North in Washington County. A 911 caller who reported the assault said Chamberlain's legs were initially pinned under the car.
Mars is in the Washington County Jail facing a number of charges, including aggravated assault, first-degree domestic battering and three counts of endangering the welfare of minors. Three children were nearby in the yard when the assaulted occurred, authorities said.
Mars is set for a hearing Monday in Washington County Circuit Court. Bond is $5,000.
