LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The Arkansas Coalition Against Domestic Violence is hosting its 7th annual Amethyst Ball on the Oct. 6.

This year's honorees are former Razorback and current Green Bay Packer DJ Williams and the Williams family.

D.J.'s mom was a victim of abuse. Coming up in the C-Block we'll hear more about the coalition's work to eliminate domestic violence and more about the upcoming Amethyst Ball.
