LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Sept. 22, 2012) - On May 2, 1972, President Nixon signed the first proclamation of National Hunting and Fishing Day.
The Witt Stephens Jr. Central Arkansas Nature Center is celebrating today, September 22 with free activities for the whole family from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Fly-tying and fly-casting demonstrations, a knife-making forge, taxidermy mounts, conservation organization exhibits, antique duck calls and more will be available. Kids' activities include casting practice and laser shots to sharpen their skills.
There is no fee for this program thanks to your support of the 1/8 Cent Conservation Sales Tax.
