BEEBE, Ark. (KTHV) - A funeral is planned today, September 29 to remember a fallen soldier from Cabot. U.S. Army Sgt. Jason Swindle died while serving in Afghanistan on Sept. 20th from injuries suffered when he was hit by enemy small arms fire.

On Friday, Gov. Mike Beebe proclaimed that all U.S. and Arkansas flags will be flown at half-staff on Saturday in Swindle's honor.

Swindle left behind a one-year-old son and an expecting wife, who will name her next son Jason, Jr.
