SWEET HOME, Ark. (KTHV) -- A suspect still on the loose after police say he shot a man in broad daylight. It happened on Neely Road in Sweet Home.

Police have identified the victim in the apparent drive-by shooting as 34-year-old Brian Harden. They say this all happened right outside his house in Sweet Home around one o'clock this afternoon.

Harden told police he was working on his car when a dark colored sedan pulled up and stopped. He says the driver pointed a shotgun at him. That's when he turned to run back to his home but was struck in the back of the head. Harden was taken to a local hospital but is expected to recover. Lt. Carl Minden with the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office says they are still working to identify the shooter.

"If someone fires a weapon, there is certain things that are left behind. They are looking into that, taking photographs and collecting any evidence they can find and they are taking statements from some of the people around here," says Lt. Minden.

Lt. Minden says they do not have a definitive description of the suspect or the vehicle he was driving. Police say they are still not sure if the suspect and the victim knew each other.
