LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Too often we report the negative news, but great things are happening in your community each day.

Here's a look at a few stories that are on The Brighter Side...

To celebrate the new school year and its commitment to education, SONIC surprised teachers in the classroom by funding three classroom projects in Little Rock. Classroom visits were coordinated with local principals to help organize the surprise in front of faculty and students.

THV's cameras were rolling on Thursday as 4th grade math and science teacher at E-Stem Charter School Alyson Schilling was presented with a $486 check to help her with music in the classroom.

"We have talked about different things we would like to have in the classroom and one of the things they kids say is music because we play music anytime they are working," explain Schlling.

Since 2009, SONIC has donated more than 2-million dollars to public school classrooms across the country through their Limeades for Learning program.
