BURBANK, IL (CBS/WBBM) -- A key piece of evidence in an international manhunt was found under a blanket in a Chicago area garage. It's the latest in the unsolved case of Estrella Carrera, found murdered in the dress she wore the night of her wedding.
Crime techs at Burbank police picked apart a purportedly bloodied Maserati that once belonged to Arnoldo Jiminez who is on the lamb for murdering his new bride Carrera.
Carrera was last seen in her wedding night cocktail dress before being found murdered in said dress in a third floor apartment bathtub. Capt. Joseph Ford says the car is key. He says, "It's a key piece of evidence. We knew it was on our wish list to find this thing."
Police were at the suspect's families Chicago home right after the murder, as Ford says, looking for clues as there was an all points bulletin for the car.
Cell phone pings showed the suspect was heading south in a hurry. Unable to initially secure a warrant, though the car was here, in a windowless rear garage the whole time discovered after the prime suspect's brother was nabbed on a federal drug wrap.
Police have the car they believe will tell a murder story and believe the alleged killer groom is with family in La Ca-Dain-Ya Mexico.
