HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (KTHV) - The Garland County Sheriff's Department has a new, high-tech, and convenient way for citizens to report crimes.
The department recently launched a feature on its website that allows people to file reports criminal online. This option is available for minor crimes - such as a missing bicycle, car damage, or harassing phone calls - that occur in Garland County. Victims can log online and fill out the basic information of the incident. Officers will then investigate the crime and contact the victim for further information.
The department suspects about 25 percent of crimes in the county can be reported online. Crime tips may also be submitted through this online process. This service does not apply to crimes that occurred in the city of Hot Springs or Hot Springs Village.
