ISSAQUAH, Wash. (CNN) -- It was hard to keep students focused on class when outside one fourth grade classroom window, a mama bear and three cubs walked through campus.
This was shot at Issaquah Valley Elementary school Wednesday. The school was put in lockdown until Fish and Wildlife officers brought in a dog to make sure the dogs had already left the school grounds.
A state wildlife official says sightings like these are pretty common around Issaquah, which is just outside of Seattle.
The a buffet of fruit trees, garbage cans and a creek full of salmon lure bears into town.
If they become a problem, they can be trapped and moved.
