LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Students from Parkview Arts-Science Magnet High School brought the dead back to life at the 18th annual 'Tales of the Crypt'.
This unique Halloween event took place October 9, at the reportedly haunted Mount Holly Cemetery on Broadway Street.
Students researched the historical figures, then wrote and memorized a monologue from their lives - in full, historically accurate costumes.
Famous long-dead characters such as Frances Hanger, who invited the artist of the Arkansas Traveler, Edward Payson Washburn, and boy martyr David O'Dodd of Civil War days were included along with other characters who have never before been featured.
This year's presentation featured 22 student actors recreating the lives of Arkansans who have helped shape Little Rock's history.
