SHERWOOD, Ark. (Oct. 13, 2012) - Grab your boots, put on your favorite western wear and join us for some boot scootin fun!
The annual Hoedown starts at 6:00pm Saturday October 13th at the Hearts & Hooves facility in Sherwood.
There will be dinner, live music featuring Chuck Gatlin and Canvas, silent and live auctions with master of ceremonies Craig O'Neill and most importantly a fashion show by Hearts & Hooves' own special equestrians.
Smell the steaks cookin' on the grill, warm yourself by the fires, meet the horses and prepare for holiday shopping with all the exciting auction items.
Hearts & Hooves, is a non-profit therapeutic riding center, bringing individuals with special needs together with horses in a program that not only furnishes the thrill of riding, but also develops coordination, balance, flexibility and self-esteem while enjoying a physical activity in a social environment.
The hoedown is the primary fundraiser held during the year to subsidize the riders' fees, keeping the program affordable for all participants. It is chaired and staffed by volunteers; all proceeds go directly to the program and our local community.
Tickets for a table of eight (8) are $500 or $65 each and can be purchased at the door.
