Sculpture festival setting up in Little Rock

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - People who walk along Riverfront Park in Little Rock may noticed some changes in the area.

Workers are installing sculptures in preparation of the annual Sculpture at the River Market, which is set to take place this weekend.

Sculptor Michael Warrick said there will be about 700 works in the exhibition, including about 30 outdoor pieces.
He says the festival is an effort to bring a little more "culture" to Little Rock.

"There will be 43 artists from around the country, including I think about a half dozen from Arkansas. So it's one of the most dynamic things happening in Little Rock this weekend right here at the River Market," Warrick said.

All of the sculptures this weekend are for sale, and the proceeds go to purchasing and maintaining public art in Riverfront Park.
