UNDATED (USA TODAY) -- Summer is over, and apparently so is the summer romance between Taylor Swift and Conor Kennedy.
The pair, who were first spotted in July canoodling at the Kennedy family compound in Hyannisport, Mass., have broken up, reports Us Weekly. The mag quotes a close friend of the couple as saying it was distance that ultimately put an end to things.
Swift, 22, has been busy promoting her new album, Red. Kennedy, 18, is the son of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., and the late Mary Kennedy. He is a high school senior.
One thing's almost certain: a thinly veiled song about the summer fling on Swift's next album.
