UNDATED (CNN) -- Taylor Swift breaks multiple records with her new album, and Brad Pitt makes a hefty donation in support of same-sex marriage. Plus, the "Cake Boss" dodges Sandy's devastation.
Is this the best week ever for Taylor Swift? The country darling broke countless records this week with the release of her new album "Red." It sold a whopping 1.2 million albums, the highest weekly sales number in more than a decade.
She's also the only female artist to hit the one million first-week mark since Soundscan started tracking sales in 1991. And she broke multiple iTunes records.
Swift tweeted her appreciation to her fans, saying "I love you so much, thanks a million."
Brad Pitt is opening his wallet in support of same-sex marriage. The actor has agreed to donate one hundred thousand dollars to the human rights campaign, the nation's largest LGBT civil rights organization.
The money will help marriage equality campaign resources in Maine, Maryland, Minnesota and Washington state, just days before the presidential election.
While New Jersey was damaged by superstorm Sandy, there's one slice of heaven that didn't suffer, the "Cake Boss" bakery.
TLC issued a statement that Carlo's Bakery is fine and there's no truth to rumors it was damaged by the storm.
A source at the bakery says the store has no power and is currently closed, but should reopen soon.
