LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Too often we report the negative news, but great things are happening in your community each day.
Here's a look at a few stories that are on The Brighter Side...
Last month, 74 cats were adopted from the Little Rock Animal Village but only two were over the age of one.
So in an effort to help the more mature felines find a home, they hosted 'Cat's Night Out at the Village' last night, a free adoption event for adult cats.
The four-legged fur balls were able to get our of their enclosures and take over the lobby, all in an effort to allow them to show their big personalities.
Adoptions, sterilization and micro-chipping were free.
If you missed out on the event yesterday, but are interested in adopting a cat, Little Rock Animal Village plans to continue this unique and life saving evening on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month.
And if you don't have a ride on election day, Saint Mark Baptist Church has you covered.
Vans and buses will provide transportation to and from your polling precinct from 9 to 5. The best part is that it's free.
Senior Pastor Phillip Pointer says they're doing this to reach out to those who want to vote, but may not have a way to get there.
If you want a ride, call the church at 501-633-3955.
