SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. (KFSM) -- It's not a belated Halloween prank but an annual tradition.
Instead, this is an annual tradition at John Brown University in Arkansas.
At the first game of the season, when team makes its first basket of the year students toss toilet paper onto the court.
It didn't take long for it to happen this year; it happened just 36 seconds into the game.
The move is an automatic technical foul. But no one seems to care much.
This is the 32nd year students have participated. The tradition started as a way to bring national attention to the school.
But now it's also something students look forward to in the first game of the season. Student Sam Boehning says, "It definitely builds. The first few minutes of the game are always the longest."
Student Joe Manning says, "When that basket goes in it's so ridiculous to be standing under the paper as it flies. You're just covered in a dome and everybody is going nuts as if they won the lottery."
John Brown ended up winning the game against Hillsdale 65-to-48.
