LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - A group of U.S. Marines are taking a celebratory run through downtown Little Rock Saturday. It's in honor of the Marine Corps' 237th birthday, which is November 10.

The Camp Pike based India Company, 3rd Battalion, 23rd Regiment of the USMC Reserve will start the run at 8:30 Saturday morning at the Clinton Library and finish on the State Capitol steps. The main portion of the run will take place through the River Market area on Markham Avenue. Former Congressman Vic Snyder will serve as the guest speaker after the run is complete.

This event kicks of the birthday celebration and hopes to make the community aware of the upcomingToys-For Tots program.
