A'Capella Choir of Wiley College

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Nov. 3, 2012) - The A'Capella Choir of Wiley College, organized in 1897 by R. E. Brown, is a group that is still going strong today.

They are a world-renowned group from Wiley College in Marshall Texas, and they are traveling to Little Rock today to perform in a free concert.

Under the direction of Stephen Hayes, composer of the musical score of the 2007 movie The Great Debaters, the group will be performing today, November 3 at 4 p.m. at the Bethel A.M.E. Church (815 W. 16th Street) in Little Rock.

The choir performed for President and First Lady Obama at a private White House Christmas Concert in 2011.

THV's Melissa Dunbar-Gates sat down with Rev. Lavel Crawford and Suzanne Ornallas to learn more about this unique event. Click on the THVideo!
