LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Have you ever been so passionate about something that you've wanted to literally tell the whole world?
Erik Bendl has walked more than 6,000 miles for the cause of diabetes awareness.
The giant globe he walks around with was given to him at a camp many years ago. Bendl and his son would play with the globe at a park until someone challenged him for a cause.
World Guy's mother died at a young age from the disease, diabetes. That is what inspires him to walk and encourage others to exercise and live a healthy lifestyle.
In the video, you'll meet "Nice" the dog that walks with him, too.
He explained his long term transportation is done in a leap-frog manner. Walking and then getting a ride back to his van where he sleeps at night.
World Guy, Nice and the big earth are working their way through Arkansas after starting in West Memphis. Friday they were in Lonoke and should be around the Little Rock area over the weekend.
