NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Nov. 10, 2012) - Verizon Wireless employees in North Little Rock will be assisting friends and family communicate via Skype with loved ones stationed overseas.
"So anyone in the community who wants to reach out to a loved one, or a friend who is serving overseas in the military can simply bring their Skype address and we'll have a number of 4G LET tablets set up here, and we'll connect them with their loved ones overseas so they can tell them to have a happy Veterans Day and thank them for their service," explains Ginger Daril with Verizon.
The event will be this Sunday, November 11 from noon to 6 p.m. at the Verizon store in McCain Mall.
Verizon has been named to the G.I. Jobs Top 100 Military-Friendly Employers List for 2013, in recognition of the company's military recruiting and hiring practices. Ranked No. 15 on the list, Verizon also earned a mention as a Military Friendly Spouse Employer for 2013.
