BENTONVILLE, Ark. (AP) - A Bentonville man has been arrested and is jailed without bound in the shooting death of his wife.
Forty-nine-year-old Perry Dennis Davis Jr. is charged with murder and kidnapping in the August death of 44-year-old Kelly Davis.
The Benton County Daily Record reports http://bit.ly/TyNNeD that attorney Ray Niblock said during a Friday bond hearing that he was appointed to represent Davis. Niblock said he is "defending this tragic event" to learn what happened.
Court documents say Davis shot himself in the head after his wife was shot and that he is now blind and suffers amnesia.
Police investigating reports of a domestic disturbance found Kelly Davis shot to death and Perry Davis wounded in their home on Aug. 19.
