HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (KTHV) A late night car accident in Hot Springs leaves two dead. Officers responded to the intersection of MLK and Airport Road just before midnight Friday, Nov. 9.
Jayna Beverlin, of Hot Springs, was driving eastbound on the MLK expressway when she lost control of her vehicle and struck the dividing concrete wall. A second vehicle then rear ended Beverlin's car. Beverlin was struck as she stood next to her car. A citizen, Robert Haney of Hot Springs, who had stopped to help was also hit and thrown over the dividing wall. He was struck by a third vehicle which was westbound on the expressway.
Both were transported to an area hospital where they died from their injuries. Meanwhile, police are investigating and are working to determine a cause.
