Little Rock, Ark. (THV-11) - The celebration of our Veterans brought many families and friends together, but what about the families that are unable to see their loved ones over seas?
Verizon Wireless in Arkansas has stepped in to make seeing these family members on Veterans Day a reality. Verizon set up free Skype connections that were available for families to access.
Verizon representatives say the ability to see and converse with a loved one is the next best think to a hug. Verizon representative Michelle Williams says they are there for their Veterans. They are actively recruiting and hiring employees with military experience in addition to offering specific benefits for those who serve in the National Guard or Reserves.
