CONWAY, Ark. (KTHV) - According to Public Information Officer LaTresha Woodruff, two aggravated robberies were committed in Conway and a third was committed in Maumelle Friday morning.
The first in Conway occurred at the America's Best Value Inn and Suites on Oak St. around 2:25, and the second happened at Mapco on Dave Ward Dr. shortly thereafter, said Woodruff.
In Maumelle, another hotel was robbed around the same time as the two robberies in Conway, and all three incidents are thought to be connected, according to Woodruff.
The police report for the America's Best Value Inn and Suites robbery indicated that a man first came into the lobby asking for room rates and left. Then, less than a minute after he left, a second man came in wearing a black sweater and face mask and held a black gun out in front of the desk employee's face demanding money.
The police report then showed that the employee removed the register till and gave him an undetermined amount of money before he left.
Three men were later arrested in North Little Rock in connection to the robbery in Maumelle, but police have not been able to release their identities pending further investigation.
