In the world of Winners & Losers, our first up Loser today is texting! The average number of texts by US Cell phone users declined last month for the first time in history. This is amazing considering the Patraeus mess was going on at the exact same time.

Jeff Long, Arkansas Athletic Director, is our first winner. He got a raise up to 750,000, and a contract extension that keeps him through June of 2017. It's not a bad week for him considering all he has been through over the last six months.

Another winner is UCA Football. While the Razorback program sinks and burns, Clint Conque takes his UCA Bears to the Southland Conference Championship and a first round bye in the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision playoffs, but UCA is not alone!

The ASU Red Wolves are also winners. They won their 8th straight road conference game Saturday-something they haven't done since the mid 70's. On December 1st ASU, will play in Jonesboro for the outright conference championship. Jonesboro will be packed, and for the next two weeks, there will be a seismic shift in the football interest of Arkansans.

The Tennessee Volunteers are losers. They had to fire their coach over the weekend after their longest run of continuing losing seasons in school history. They were smushed by Vanderbilt over the weekend and have yet to win an SEC game.

While the Tennessee Volunteers may be losers, the Little Rock volunteers are winners.Last Tuesday on reading day, parents and volunteers read to 600 Little Rock classrooms, and it doesn't stop there. Dawn Scott helped with morning announcements at Forest Park Monday morning.

And, while we're at it, we're going to proclaim Abraham Lincoln a winner. He is everywhere these days. He's a Forest Park and, of course, at a cinema near you. That Lincoln movie is incredible. Daniel Day Lewis is phenomenal as Lincoln. However, Lincoln did lose out over the weekend to James Bond and the vampires on Twilight, but that movie is phenomenal.
