LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) --  The Union Rescue Mission will distribute approximately 1350 Thanksgiving Food boxes to low-income families in Central Arkansas on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to noon at Agape Church on Napa Valley Drive.

Families were referred to the Union Rescue Mission by area agencies, such as St. Francis house, and Agape Church. Referral forms will be collected on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 when the food boxes are picked up. There is enough food in each box to feed a family of four, and families with more than four members will receive more than one box.

The Feeding the Multitude food drive is conducted annually by the Union Rescue Mission. Local churches, schools, civic organizations collect canned food items, boxed stuffing, cake mixes, and frosting. More than 50 volunteers came to the Mission on Confederate Blvd on Saturday, November 17th to help pack the food boxes.
