LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Hundreds of people are invited to Thanksgiving dinner at the "Great Thanksgiving Day Banquet" in Little Rock.

Union Rescue Mission (URM) is hosting its annual event at its 3000 Confederate Boulevard location. The Mission has been preparing a full turkey dinner with all the trimmings every Thanksgiving since its founding in 1946.

The meal begins at 11 a.m. Thursday and will continue to be served until 1 p.m., or longer if needed.

"Individuals, families and walk-ins are welcome to share our 'Great Thanksgiving Banquet' meal," said Michelle Scroggins, Director of Public Relations for URM.

URM and its volunteers are preparing for hundreds of individuals to come through their doors. Most activity typically occurs in the first hour.
