HOUSTON, Tex. (CNN/KPRC) -- A security guard in Texas was gunned down when he arrived to work at this Houston strip mall.
Police say he was shot and killed Sunday by a recently fired guard he was hired to replace.
The slain security officer's family members were devastated when they learned the news. The victim's sister Maria Argueta says, "It's really hard to believe that this is happening to us because he was such a great person, a friend, a brother and a son."
Police have arrested the suspected shooter and charged him with murder.
