LAS VEGAS (AP) - A man has been arrested in Arkansas on suspicion of murder after a body was found in a Las Vegas condo earlier this week.

Police say 32-year-old Richard Heron Jr. of Las Vegas was taken into custody Monday in Sheridan, Ark., and is awaiting extradition proceedings.

Las Vegas police say a citizen hailed a passing officer Monday morning and was concerned about the safety of a man in a nearby residence.

Officers who went to the complex on the 1900 block of North Torrey Pines Drive found the victim dead from apparent blunt force trauma.

Police obtained a warrant for Heron's arrest.

The Clark County coroner's office hasn't yet released the name of the person who died.
