LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - The Arkansas Activities Association is hosting the Big Jingle Jubilee Holiday Parade.
the Arkansas Activities Association is an organization that governs all high school competitive activities by member schools.
The parade will be Sat. Dec 1 at 3 p.m. It will begin at 2nd Street and Broadway Street, go south on Broadway, turn west on Capitol Avenue and end at the State Capitol. The lighting and fireworks display will follow at dark or 6 p.m. It's all free and open to the public.
Arkansas high school marching bands may participate in the parade without concern to any repercussions and may compete for the prize money of $1,00 for first place and $500 for second place.
Middle school and junior high marching bands may not compete for prizes due to the Arkansas Activities Association rule preventing any statewide competition for middle schools or junior high schools. However, all middle and junior high schools are still encouraged to participate in the parade to showcase their school pride and marching band.
