WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President Obama is getting together with former Republican rival Mitt Romney this week.

The president has invited Romney to the White House Thursday for a private lunch.

A White House statement says the two will meet in the President's private dining room.

It's the first meeting between the men since the election. And it's a private meeting.
