LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Actor Judge Reinhold is known for some memorable performances in several successful movies. "Beverly Hills Cop," "Fast Times at Ridgemont High," "Ruthless People,""The Santa Claus." But, it's as a producer that he considers his most important contribution.

After several tours of the Arkansas Foodbank, and various distributing agencies, as well as seeing first hand the poverty and hunger in Arkansas, Reinhold has made the issue his number one priority.

He enlisted several artist friends for a series of professionally produced public service announcements. They feature children holding paper plates with emotional appeals from hungry children in Arkansas.

It was a tour of the Fishnet Ministries in Jacksonville which introduced Reinhold to the paper plate concept. The series of authentic handwritten messages on plates pack an emotional punch that Reinhold hopes will spur action in Arkansas.

One dollar donated to the foodbank buys three meals. Over 23,000 Arkansans need some sort of food relief every week. Over a third of these are children. The foodbank's continued support is critical. Fortunately they've got an established name to help; one who knows the power of paper plates.
