BELLAFONTE, Ark - Unique Treasures store on Highway 65 S. was robbed at gun point Saturday, December 1.

The store owner, whose name has not yet been released, was shot twice; in the head and in the left arm. Despite being shot, he was still able to provide information about the robbery to the police. The store owner was flown to a Springfield, Mo. hospital shortly after the robbery and was announced Sunday, December 2, to be in good condition.

The Arkansas State Police, Arkansas Highway Police, Game and Fish Officers, Newton County Sheriff's Office, and Harrison Police Department all assisted in the investigation. As a result, 27 year old Phillip Ray Engles is believed to be the shooter.

Track dogs were brought in Saturday night and found an abandoned truck, however they were unable to locate Engles. Police say that Engles should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Phillip Engle should contact the Boone County Sheriff's Office at (870) 741-8404.
