OVIEDO, FL (CBS/WKMG) -- Four people were injured Monday when a concrete slab fell at a construction site in Oviedo near the University of Central Florida.

The collapse happened around 9:30 a.m.

According to Seminole County fire officials, two construction workers were trapped under the slab, which somehow fell while it was being lowered. The workers were taken to a hospital in serious condition.

UCF said it does not own the property, nor is it overseeing the project, which includes a 600-bed student housing facility scheduled to open in the fall of 2013. UCF is slated to provide housing management and marketing services for the project.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has been called to investigate the incident.
