EVANSDALE, IA (CNN/KWWL) -- A prayer vigil was held Wednesday night in honor of two young cousins who disappeared in July during a bicycle ride. Wednesday, police said two bodies were found in the woods, but would not confirm they were the missing girls. But, authorities did notify the missing kids' families about the find.

Dozens of people gathered at Meyers Lake Wednesday night to pray. The candles were lit as a new hope that Lyric Cook-Morrissey and Elizabeth Collins' families will soon get answers. One person at the vigil says, "I hope for closure, for peace. I hope for comfort for their families."

The cousins went missing after riding their bikes near Meyers Lake in Evansdale. Now, more than four months later, folks cling to their faith and pray for closure. Amanda Smith says, "Just pray, pray for the Morrisy's and the cooks as a whole and that we get some answers - that the family gets answers about their little girls."

They lean on each other. Kenny Bachen says, "You know as a community we've...I've never seen a community pull together like this or been a part of something like this."

They pray a common prayer, one for peace, closure, and forgiveness. And they find comfort in knowing they are one step closer to finding answers. Bachen says, "We just hope that they're at peace and pray for them and their families."
