PINE BLUFF, Ark. (KTHV) - Robert Holland, 44, an inmate at the Cummins Unit strangled his cellmate late Friday, December 7.
Holland told officers he strangled 22-year-old Matthew Scheile, from Benton, with a bed sheet and covered him with it to conceal the incident.
Holland was serving life in prison without parole for capital murder. Scheile was serving a 48 month sentence for failure to register as a sex offender.
The Arkansas State Police are currently investigating the murder.
