NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - North Little Rock police responded to a deadly motorcycle accident late Monday night.
A release from the police department said the incident happened in the area of Washington St. and Main St. about 11:30 p.m. When officers arrived, they talked with a 56-year-old man who said he was sleeping under the Main Street Bridge when a motorcycle hit him.
He then pointed officers to where the motorcycle rider was nearby. The victim, later identified as 45-year-old Michael Ross of North Little Rock, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said it appears he was traveling north across the Main Street Bridge when his motorcycle hit the concrete retaining wall and caused him to leave the bridge and land beneath it.
The man hit by the motorcycle was taken to UAMS for treatment of his injuries, which do not appear to be life-threatening.
