3 robberies occurred Wed. on Cantrell Rd.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Little Rock police are investigating three armed robberies of different businesses on Cantrell Road that happened Wednesday.

The first happened just before 3 p.m. at the Metropolitan National Bank at 7401 Cantrell Rd.

In the police report it says two suspects, a woman and a man, walked into the bank. The female suspect pepper sprayed a bank teller, and the male suspect pulled out a black handgun and demanded everyone get on the floor.

One of the victims said she thought she recognized the suspects as customers who had been in the bank before.

Surveillance video showed the suspects leave in a white late 90s to early 2000s model sedan.

The next robbery occurred at Wendy's at 7312 Cantrell Rd. just after 9 p.m.

Police say two male suspects walked in armed with handguns, took money, and then fled the business on foot.

The third happened at the Exxon at 7600 Cantrell just before 11 p.m. Wednesday.

Two suspects walked into the business armed with a handgun and grabbed money out of the cash drawer. They also took the employee's personal cell phone and fled.

A witness outside the Exxon said he saw the suspects but they didn't speak to him.

All of these robberies are under investigation by Little Rock Police.
