LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - The Little Rock Compassion Center has another opportunity for you to lend a helping hand to someone in need this holiday season. They are seeing a desperate need for food.

The Compassion Center helps feed the needy, and during the holidays, they see a lot of demand. This year, they expect to be even busier than holidays past because of several factors including Christmas falling mid week.

"Normally we hand out 250 boxes but we expect to hand out 500 food boxes this year.
Perishable food items are accepted too," said Reverend William Holloway. "They are needed for the 3,000 meals that will be served over the four day Christmas weekend."

Rev. Holloway said some food items you can bring in are oatmeal, cereals, rice, vegetables, and canned meats. You can drop donations off at 3618 W Roosevelt Road in Little Rock.
