    Steven Halsell, Dewey Halsell killed in Thursday fire

    ONYX, Ark. (KTHV) - Two men were killed in a house fire Dec. 13.

    According to Yell County Sheriff Bill Gilkey, Steven Halsell, 35, and his father Dewey Halsell, 69, died in a house fire near Onyx around 10 p.m.

    Chief Deputy John Foster told THV 11 News that the home was completely destroyed, and although the cause of the fire is unkown, police do not suspect foul play.

    A third resident, Lynda Halsell, 62, was able to escape and was flown to a hospital in Little Rock for treatment, said police; she was discovered in a wooded area west of the home when emergency personell arrived on scene and had suffered from minor burns and smoke inhalation.

    The bodies have been sent to the Arkansas State Medical Examiner's Office for autopsy.
