WHITE COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) - A White County man is arrested for kidnapping after leading authorities on a chase.

Monday night around 8:30 p.m., White County Sheriff's deputies were called to Foxchase Rd. west of Searcy about a domestic disturbance. Deputies were told the suspect had forced a woman into his car and left the area.

A short time later, deputies found the car and tried to stop it. The driver, Deonte Turner, 22 of Searcy, refused to stop.

The White County Sheriff's Office says Turner led them on a chase through several Searcy streets and a couple of residential lawns. They say Turner eventually jumped out of his car while it was still moving at College St. and Park St. Turner was arrested after a brief foot chase.

Turner is being held on several charges including kidnapping, felony fleeing, possession of a firearm by certain persons, possession of a controlled substance, simultaneous possession of a firearm, and domestic battery.

Turner is being held at the White County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond.
