VIOLA, Ark. (KTHV) - The Fulton County Sheriff's Office says the Viola Public School was briefly put on lockdown Tuesday afternoon.

This morning, Chief Deputy Al Roork with the Fulton County Sheriff's Office says they got a report of a man with two guns walking near the school. The school was locked down while deputies talked to the man.

The Sheriff's Office says the man did have two guns in his backpack which the Sheriff's Office says isn't illegal, and he didn't have a criminal history.

The Sheriff's Office says they were simply walking from one place to another.
